Searching for the right one but her eyes won’t permit,
She’s in a world of darkness.
Never found love so relationships left her cold and heartless.
Even back then when she thought she had it,
It seems being used by him was permanent a bad habit.
Remaining all alone,
then he comes along singing the words to a brand new song,
that she inspired.
He gave her everything but she never could touch his heart
So now she’s at fault for what transpired.
On to the next one,
He has big plans,
Telling her, “Baby, one day I’m gone be your man.”
If only she could see the look in his eyes,
He spoke charming words,
But in his heart deceit belied.

He worked tirelessly to make her happy, make her have better days,
But being hurt by the ones before him,
All she ever felt was pain.
She was blind to how he melted every time he saw her smile,
She was blind to him being a companion that was actually worthwhile,
She was blind to him putting in so much extra work,
She was blind to him being the one that she deserved.

He would always spit lines and she would swear it was game,
But true love with her was his only aim,
So finally she realized and came to the light,
When he took her home to his parents she received her eyesight.
